काला !

अँधेरे ! चलो आज तुम्हे बता ही दें 
राज गहरा दिल में छुपाये कब तक रहे 
तुमसे मिलने को न मालूम कितने जतन किये 
जब की मालूम भी नहीं था के तुम साथ ही हो हर दम

कोहरे में लिपटा झीना सा रेशमी पर्दा
सरसराता अज्ञान ढक लेता कम्पित देह को 
गहरे घने अँधेरे श्याम ! तुमसा घना देखा नहीं 
गहराती अँधेरी गुफाएं थीं चलते रहे कदम कदम हम

मैं चाहता था मैं मिलूं एक बार तुमको 
घूँट घूँट पियूं तुम्हे एक बार खुली आंखो से 
इसके पहले अजनबी अँधेरा बन मुझे बांहों में भरे
जाना पहचाना लगे उस रात इतनी पहचान तो कर लूँ

काला ! कितना भटक पूछा ठिकाना 
इसने कहा वैसे देखो उसने कहा वैसे देखो 
बैठते ही सघनता घेरती घबड़ा के आँख खुल जाती 
बरस बीते यूँ तुम्हे देखने की कोशिश पर तुम नहीं मिले

फिर थक चाहत त्याग दी , श्याम ! 
आवाज आयी- श्यामा आँखे खोलो देखो मुझे
उजली बूँद उसी पल स्याह तुझमे में गिर मिल गयी 
न जाने इक अँधेरे ने इक अँधेरे को अँधेरे में कैसे देखा ?
